Talking About the Wines:

-Vinous Media, June '21 gave 93 points to 2017 Finca Os Loureiros.  “Light, bright yellow. Intense pear, nectarine, orange pith and sweet butter aromas display fine clarity and a building floral topnote. Palate-staining orchard and pit fruit and honeysuckle flavors show a silky quality and tighten up on the back half. Concentrated but energetic as well, delivering impressive, floral-driven persistence and lingering stoniness.”

-International Wine Review, Jan '21 gave 92 points to 2017 Finca Os Loureiros. "Medium yellow straw. Showing an effusive nose of ripe pear and clementine joined by a suggestion of honeysuckle, this 100% single vineyard Treixadura offers a multi-dimensional palate of expressive fruit and herbs working in tandem. It offers a fine, straight focus with good precision and perfectly proportioned acidity. Finishes with a persistent minerality. Sourced from a 3 ha vineyard in San Clodio within sight of the Benedictine monastery. Fermented in 500L French oak and aged on the lees with battonage for 6 months."

-A View From the Cellar, Nov - Dec '20 gave 91+ points to 2017 Finca Os Loureiros. “The Finca Os Loureiros 2017 is a single vineyard bottling from Bodegas Casal de Armán, with these terraced vineyards planted to a mix of ninety percent Treixadura and the remaining ten percent a blend of Albariño and Godello. The wine is barrel-fermented and aged in five hundred liter demi-muids for six months prior to bottling and then given nearly another year of bottle aging prior to release. The 2017 Finca Os Loureiros offers up a refined nose of pear, lemon peel, a touch of olive, salty minerality, a touch of menthol and a very discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and gently new oaky in personality, with a lovely core of fruit, good soil signature and bounce and a long, very well-balanced finish. This is drinking beautifully today, but has the structure to also age long and gracefully. Fine juice."
